"We like to..."

"Move it!"

This week was a bit of an improvement. We did quite a bit of service for one family in particular. The wife's father died and her husband was out of town for work, so we visited her with a Carlos from the bishopric to keep her company and bring an uplifting message about the Plan of Salvation on Tuesday. It was a fun chat. We discussed a wide variety of topics such as the positive points of other religions, comfort from a knowledge of the Plan of Salvation, her family, and her conversion story. In the beginning, she actually felt the Church was so terrible that she left her member husband for a time and took their daughter with her when he tried to have the missionaries over. But it's all good now. After our message on eternal families, she asked that we give her a blessing. The next day, we provided more service for her.
On Friday we were able to sit down with a couple members here who are well-informed of the situations and stories of the members in Elda, and we made a list of names of people who currently need our support the most. Our Thursday FHE with the less-active member family ended up not happening, but it should happen this week.
Saturday we helped finish the move of our ward mission leader (his wife is the one we visited) to the campo. It still took practically the whole day, but we got everything out! Luckily, we were able to receive some help from a couple members of the Elders Quorum in the morning when we dealt with the rest of the furniture and more awkwardly-shaped, large objects. The afternoon was mainly boxes and bags. I'm so happy that that little project is done. The apartment is a skeleton of what it once was.

A "campo" is like a country home with land, in contrast to a "cita", which is an apartment in the city.

I wrote a lot of smaller emails and had a weird schedule today, so once again I'll be lacking a little on the spiritual side. The Lord blesses the faithful. If we honestly try and do what we're able to with the circumstances we're given, He will keep us supported and get us through. It's amazing how much a difference is made when looking back on the positive points of a negative experience.

God loves you, and I wish the greatest of weeks upon all your houses.
